This site is dedicated to the genealogy and history of the Louis and Hilda Hellbusch family and our goal is to provide information about any Hellbusch relative, individual or family.

The roots of our family are in Germany, near Oldenburg. When our ancestors arrived in the United States, a large group settled in Platte County, near Columbus, Nebraska during the 1800's. There were several ancestors that went to South America during the 1800's. You will find information about this family, also. Since the web site was first launched, we have received information from relatives living in many parts of the world and discovered some relatives do have a slightly different spelling of the name Hellbusch. The names include spelling such as Helbush, Helbusch, Hellebusch, Hellebush, Helebusch. Of course, through the help of these families, discovery of the relationship is always another bit of history to know.
