Oldigs Side of the Family

Hermann Oldigs and Marie nee Schroeder Oldigs

The Oldigs family came to America in 1890. They lived by Bennington, Nebraska (North of Omaha) for 3 years. After that they moved to a farm near Leigh, Nebraska. Bill Oldigs, their youngest son, was born 3 months after the Oldigs arrived in America.

Hermann Oldigs born Nov 19, 1848 and died Jun 9, 1927
Marie nee Schroeder Oldigs, born Sept 29, 1849 and died Jan 23, 1908
They are buried near Creston, Nebraska at St. Pauls Lutheran Chruch
The headstone is in German, "Ruhet in Frieden"

The Oldigs family came to the United States from Germany just before their son William (Bill) was born. The photo below was taken on their farm, south of Leigh, Nebraska, approximately 1895.

Anna Oldigs (Below - 4th from left in the back row) married George Fredrich Hellbusch.
